Guest guest
Does honey have an expiry date? Am at my mom's and all her honey - 3 bottles - look dark and weird and not good. Like they're the color of dark molasses. I threw them all out. But in general - how long does honey last - under decent conditions? Guest guest
Honey lasts forever. They have actually found honey in the Egyption tombs that was still good. It may turn grainy, but it's still good. If it's 100% honey it will always be good. Guest guest
Also Mara, the dark honey has up to 20 times more antioxidants in it than light honey and it has less water so it's much better for you. I always choose dark honey when I can find it. Guest guest
Yeah, the thing was, this didn't start as dark honey - it started as medium, regular honey.<cue horror film music>It *changed* in the pantry. Powerlines, ghost in the closet, a mummy? Who knows? MaraAlso Mara, the dark honey has up to 20 times more antioxidants in it than light honey and it has less water so it's much better for you. Guest guest
Honey doesn't ever spoil ...they found some in the egyptian tombs & it was still edible ( crystalized but edible) the darker honey is ( I think) from buckwheat ...there are variations in taste & color dependant on the prominent pollen that the bees used to make it. .... gisele
