There's a place here in Round Rock, Texas that takes in feral cats and rehabilitates them. Someday might volunteer there to help. We keep our bathroom doors shut so our two remaining cats can't get it there. Guest guest
Not familiar with ville, so looked it up on the Texas map hanging on the wall in here. Looks like a nice big lake near you! We are north of Austin. SIL in Arlington. Guest guest
I have 3 other feral kittens i have tamed, so I know it takes patience, love and time. It breaks my heart to hear mama crying for her babies outside. I cannot catch her. I hope she will be ok. Any ideas on catching her? She needs to be fixed before she bring me anymore kittens, lol. thanks for the help. lisaannbogue@... wrote: I volunteer for the Humane Society in Texas and they reserve me for working with feral kittens. Go into the bathroom often and if you can just sit on the floor and talk to them. One kitten I had bonded with me because she loved to have here hair brushed. So get a brush for kittens and maybe some toys. Also take away their hiding spaces. Cabinets, linen closets etc.... This will make it easier for you to bond with them and will make them more dependent upon you. From: Date: 2007/12/06 Thu AM 11:34:38 CST To: herbal7@... Subject: Kittens Well, I caught all the kittens, lol. The 3 remaining kitties outside were asleep in the crate I put out there with a towel in it. How lucky could I get? I sneaked up on em and cosed the door real quick, then brought them inside and put them in the bathroom for now. Our bathroom is huge. they are out of their crate and hiding, but seem ok. One is a real bugger. He is totally feral, gonna take some time, but the other 2 seem ok. No hissing at least. He spits and growls, lol. All show. Ok ramblin' here. lol. Oh and momma was meowing for them this morning and they were also meowing. partly why I did not get good sleep. I feel bad she misses her kittties, but they are way big enough to leave the nest. Wonder how long she will do this looking and meowing for them? good grief. I am gonna nap I think, then maybe I will have some energy, lol. https://www.iamshaman.net/affiliatewiz/aw.aspx?A=
Guest guest
Fort worth area here, lol Small world sometimes. I am beginning to think I am meant to rescue animals like this, like it is where my heart is. I cannot turn my back on poor abandoned animals. I have had 8 kitties brought to me, needing rescuing. I think working with pets in the HS is awesome and rewarding for you . Glad they have someone who cares about them. How does one get a job like that? Guest guest
Call your local Humane Society (not animal control) and get a " Have a Heart trap " that way you can trap her safely and transport her without getting scratched. You might want to take a towel or blanket with the kittens scent on it and put it outside (or in the trap) and that might actually give her some comfort. You might also go to Petfinders.com and look up all the non-kill shelters in your area there may be one that can help you. Guest guest
It's not a job its volunteer work. I'm basically a foster mom. You can easily become one and they will pay all your foster babies vet expenses, food, liter, etc... If you want I can ask the Humane Society out here and see what you need to do. It's rewarding when one of your babies gets a great home. Plus they put their profiles on the net so you'll have to write a silly little story about them. There character, interests, etc.... Guest guest
I like them. I once had 3 litters at once. Give them a few layers of visqueen and let them try getting to each other thru the other side. It is hilarious !!! Enjoy your kittens!!! ...................................................,ARK _________________________________________________________________ Share life as it happens with the new Windows Live.Download today it's FREE! http://www.windowslive.com/share.html?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_Wave2_sharelife_112007
Guest guest
I do not know what visqueen is? wow 3 litters at once. Oh my. Found out that the one kitten from the previous litter that I rescued, named creamy {cream puff} is a girl, not a boy. lmao. That always happens to me. she is in heat. TG all the boys are fixed. john honeycutt wrote: I like them. I once had 3 litters at once. Give them a few layers of visqueen and let them try getting to each other thru the other side.
