I am currently on Effexor XR 225 mg. It is the absolute worse SSRI to

have withdrawal syndrome from. The half-life is so short that if you

forget to take the dose the night before within 12 hours you start

having withdrawal symptoms. It is god awful. When I decided go off

the medication it took me three months of very gradual tapering. I

had to literally go down to just a few granules. Of course, I get off

the medication and my divorce was finalized and my current bf at the

time cheated on me in the same time span. I ended up having to back

on the meds.

But believe me, there are symptoms that happen when you stop some of

these medications. Anything that is going to affect your brain

chemistry is going to have some sort of affect when it is stopped (not

necessarily all bad).
