You know...

some people aren't happy when they think the " spotlight " or " tea and

sympathy " might be taken away from them. There are also some who

aren't happy unless they are bringing others down and being miserable.

She strikes me as one of those types.

It is unfortunate that you couldn't get some " peer " support from

someone " with " FMS close by. And I agree, she must not be suffering

that bad if she isn't willing to give certain things a real college

try. Granted, I took Topamax one time and it made me feel stupid...

it is sometimes called stupidmax. I took it one time and that was

that... but still, if I were dealing with pain compared to mood

stability... that is a bit more likely to make me motivated to push

through it.

Lord, I have had such a crappy a** day. I'm trying to skim the group

postings now. I hope I will have time write more about what has been

going on with me. I realized to night when I came home to a xmas tree

wrecked by my cats that I have been repressing a lot of stuff and just

broke down into a crying jag. I just want to curl up and do some more

of that crying thing.

More later,

~

> Yeah, she was quite the pain in the butt. I actually thought for a

minute I had met someone who could relate. She says that her first

symptoms were that her legs quit working for a while and they thought

she had MS. Well, it must not have been very painful if Tramadol took

care of it all. I almost feel like she felt threatened or something

to find out I have fibro too. She did not want to discuss it. She

did not offer any kind of supporitive attitude. I guess she obviously

does not need any type of emotional support. And of course, being a

social worker she is in tune to recognize " drug

seekers " .................... grrrrr that still pisses me off.

> Well, I will just never talk to her about it again. AND LISTEN TO

WHAT SHE SAID ABOUT LYRICA..... she said well, I took one once and it

gave me a hangover. I told her it takes time for your system to get

use to it. She kind of snidely remarked.. " well I don't have time to

get use to it " . So obviously she aint in much pain or she would be

willing to try just about anything.
