Guest guest
I'm so thrilled for Marlena too, and I'm motivated more than ever! See, when I had gotten to my lowest in recent history (185 about 5 years ago), I was a size 16. So I was thinking that my goal of 150 would put me at an 8/10 depending. I've NEVER been an 8/10 in my teenaged or adult life, so I don't even know what that'll feel like. I have to get ideas from people like Marlena who are shrinking right before us! Imagining yourself in a smaller size helps SO much for motivation. The other day, Fred (my DH) was telling me about this swimsuit shop that lets you buy tops and bottoms separately. He said they even had swimsuits for people with my bust (DDD). He said, " Hey, when you need a new bathing suit, we'll have to go up there and look. " At first, I was disgusted, but then I started thinking. I won't need a new swimsuit 'til next year. By that time, providing everything goes " according to plan " , I'll nearly be at my goal. That means I could buy a two-piece and actually look GOOD in it. That was the first time I ever really got excited about reaching my goal. It dawned on me all the sudden that it was gonna be something so different that I really couldn't even imagine it right now. Daring to dream REALLY helps with the motivation! in Indy 253.5/236.5/150 - 3/26/01 > Marlena that is great news, congrats on the new size. Guest guest
Marlena, First I want to say, Congrats -- WTG -- you go girl --you da bomb! You know that you deserve all of the above! But more importantly, I wanted to tell you something that I have noticed about you. Marlena, through your 7 month stall (and it truly was a stall!), you still hung in there, encouraged all of us and never said a word about what you were going through with your own weight loss efforts. Marlena, you never complained but always offered your support and tips. You are such an inspiration to me and I'm sure to others. You deserve this and everything else that comes your way! Congrats on the new job, they don't know what a gem they have acquired in you!!!! Now, would you please send the whoosh fairy or the lost-inches lady my way?! She's needed down here in Alabama! {{{{{Great Big ole' Hugs}}}}}}}} Keisha
