Laurel,

That's what we have a mind for. Talking to yourself (hopefully not out

loud) really works.

I'm never using canes in my dreams, even though I realize I should be and

I'm constantly amazed that I can walk normally on uneven ground without

them. Hmmmmm! Maybe if - - -. No, it wouldn't work.

I've had eight MRI's. During the fist one I got really claustrophobic at

having that steel cocoon just a few inches above my nose. So I closed my

eyes and imagined I was lying in a lounge chair on the beach with large

fluffy clouds slowly drifting overhead. Presto! End of claustrophobia.

Laurel:

Thanks so much for this suggestion. My stiffness is increasing and

is obviously worse when I am in a crowd and stressed that someone

might bump into me.

Also, I liked Vaughn's response to your email!

smoother. It's far from perfect, but much better.

I'll be darned, but it works!!! When I feel myself start to tense and walk

stiffly, I just picture myself gliding across a stage in front of an auditorium

Hope y'all have a good Sunday!!!
