Guest guest
Leonie, I don't have the answers to your questions, but prednisone IS cortisone. IMy husband had bilateral knee replacements, and it was an entirely successful operation. He can do anything now--play ball, walk as far as he wants. As for other joints, hips are easier to replace than knees. Don't know about elbows and shoulders, but I never hear about such operations. You have me scared now about whether AP stops further damage! Guest guest
My two cents worth. My Mom had lupus, she had a number of the transfuions. they did help a bit. unfortunately, her dr's were not watching her bones and she ended up with really bad osteoporosis. please make sure you are getting enought vit d, calcimu and all the other sruff to keep your bones intact. The only thing to help my knees at this point is the replacements. Gone past AP on that one. My other joints (elbows, hips, shoulders) are on the verge of going bung also, so hope the AP stops further damage. thanks... ~Leonie leoniecent@... 02 62556202
