Guest guest
Hi, Bart has it written in his iep under specially designed instruction that he has 2 snacks a day and lunch. I got it by telling them it was under doctor direction.. but of course anything in writing would be helpful.. But do you think the headaches are from need for snack. Like what about eyestrain or stress and yes the lights. School decided to forego other kids in his autism classroom having a snack with him as 6th graders do not do that.. but since it is in his iep they have to because of medical reasons. My typical daughter gets migraines... and the light bothers her more when she has one.. so maybe not the cause.. but an added factor. My son used to hate the light in the cafeteria/gym.. halogen I think they were and they put off a purplish glow and he hated that color for so me reason. Guest guest
i have UC also Migrains. when I was on SCD headaches MUCH better. not sure if it is the WHOLE diet that is needed to get rid of HA alone. maybe your dtr could try giving up all sugars... see if that helps. If it doesn't, add removing lactose... then grains. It would be great for her if she doesn't need tobe on the fully restrictive diet so I would test in pieces. pk To: BTVC-SCD From: bc_beecee@...Date: Sat, 24 Jan 2009 21:35:52 +0000Subject: headaches I have Crohn's, and our son (26) has ulcerative colitis. We have beenon SCD for one and two years respectively, and it has helped us both. Our daughter (31) has had a lifetime of headaches. She also hasGrave's disease, and has had her thyroid removed. Thyroid OK withmedicine, but she still has headaches. I believe all of theseconditions are auto-immune related--maybe not the headaches. Doesanyone have any experience whereby the SCD or some other diet hashelped people with chronic headaches?BC Windows Live™: E-mail. Chat. Share. Get more ways to connect. See how it works.
