Guest guest
Because so many of our kids have " impaired immune systems " and some have exposure to heavy metals, they may also have altered levels of Zinc. In the body, Zinc and Copper are inversely proportional. When Zinc is high, Copper is low and vice versa. Chocolate and carob have a great deal of copper and copper in itself can act as a neurotransmitter. My children are deficient in Zinc and B6 and therefore we avoid copper because our supplementation routine includes nutrients, vitamins and minerals to decrease copper and increase zinc. They should be in a 1:1 ratio in the body ideally. If your child is not reacting to the gluten in the chocolate...I would think about the copper issue as a possible problem. We have testing done at Pfeiffer Biochemical Treatment Center in Naperville, ILlinois. Their knowledge of body chemistry is astounding and while we have been GF/CF and on a personal supplementation plan for 13 months now, I'm still learning too. Good luck to all........Lana

Guest guest
Hi Marissa: P.S. I'm so surprised that Carol Duval didn't say anything about the temp. of the choc. , but she did not. When I was watching, after she completed the instructions, that's the first thing I thought. Bad Carol....

Guest guest
>>>Can a person have too much chocolate? :-)<<<<<<<< In a word, NO. I don't think adding choc to choc is lessening the purism. No. It might be adulterating perfectly good PS100, but otherwise, no, adding 0g of sugar choc to 0g of sugar choc, well, sounds like sound reasoning to me. **Please forgive " laptop fingers " --nothing is where it is supposed to be!** www.vitalady.com Re: Re: PB > <<I'm a purist. Guest guest
lol, in my worst or heaviest days.....I would go to 's, get a Frostee bring it home, and pour Hershey's chocolate syrup in it. Then verrrry carefully marble it (not unlike a marble cake) so as not to mix the chocolate syrup up too much into the Frostee. And I am also reminded of a news item from several years ago....that said that research found the same " feel good " drug in chocolate as was in marijuana. Only problem being that one would have to eat about 5 pounds of chocolate to get that rush. NO PROBLEM! .......dreaming chocolaty dreams.....
