Guest guest
Yes I have Celiac and never got well on the gf diet. I could not believe it when GIG National told me that they would not support scd. Scdiet is the healthies way of eating, all Gig National is concerned if the food is gf.They are not healthy and dont know how to be healthy eating differently. Besides eating scd what I like most about eating scd is that I dont have to focus on (is this gf). It is so great. Coz everything I fix is gf but I dont have to ever wonder. I once went to our nearby gf meeting and they had a potluck and nothing was there that I would eat, They had jello, nitrate meat, rice bread and deserts that were gf but no nutritonal value and not scd legal. My MD ran a diabetes test on me and they told me because of the way I eat (SCD) that I dont have to worry about becoming a diabetic. Most people that are celiac and are eating gf and process food become a diabetic eventually unless they find SCD. I don't understand the politics of it all, but I gather there is a major disapproval of the SCDiet from the leaders of the celiac forum. Anyone else celiac here with similar experience? Actually, that's how Dr. Haas' diet almost disappeared, and would have, if not for Elaine Gottschall. All politics. Much easier to declare " celiac " as " gluten intolerant " and not other issues. My niece is diagnosed celiac and has done well on SCD. She's even been able to add some non-SCD foods back to her diet, just like Elaine's daughter. We're doing our best to publicize the diet -- one reason this is a mostly-open list.
