Guest guest
Yes, my subject line is shouting. (lol) I just got home to 50 or more messages. Most of them contain the complete message you are replying to, some of them contain more than one previous message. Having to scroll through previous messages is very time consuming, especially for those on daily digest. Not only time consuming, but it takes up a lot of computer space. It is stated in the rules that members who do not edit messages can be put on moderated status. Is that what I need to do? This group belongs to everyone, not to just the members that post. Lets be considerate of everyone, please. hugs Eunice List Owner
Guest guest
> Yes, my subject line is shouting. (lol) > hello eunice, as you mentioned shouting, in relation to caps, i would like to seek some clarification from you if i may? when i applied to join i used all caps, as i recall, i have done so for many, many years now, but always explaining my reasons and until other members come to realise it, i opened all my posts with an explanation, and a request for some consideration. my application was accepted, and no conditions, other than the general rules of course, were applied. having explained my situation apart from a member, now left the group, who explained why it's frowned upon in chat rooms, which this site is not, no one else had any objections to my use of caps, given a genuine reason for using them. it has never been my habit to shout at anyone, on the internet or in person either, i was brought up to show and hold, respect for others. someone did suggest i might try using lower case only, but as i recall it was not an objection to my use of caps, just a suggestion, no more, others said the capitals were easier for them, and others said they could care less, just so we could communicate. i have used lower case as much as possible, but as i also participate in several other sites, on occasions i have come here and simply did not notice i had caps lock on. basically, my question to you as the owner is, have you any objections to my occasionally using caps? more so, as i have explained my situation is it reasonable to expect that that should be the end of it? it's difficult enough dealing with disabilities, they cause enough isolation at times without self appointed arbiters of what is acceptable or not causing embarrasment by highlighting something they already have had explained to them. i look forward to your clarification, meanwhile, kindest regards, bobby

I think more people are used to reading lower case but you are absolutely right, it's the communication that's the important thing here. I'd say do what you need to do in order to continue communicating. Amber
