Guest guest
Thanks for this information and sites. Robyn wrote: Can anyone give me any more information on this? It sounds familiar to me. Mine got to the point where we (two gyno's and me) thought that I had Lichen Sclerosis http://members.tripod.com/~shanmd/lichen.html . Turns out that I was allergic to a hormone that one doc had me on, it was a tiny pill but you inserted it vaginally. I still after 5 years have problems with the thin tearing splitting skin and the white patchs of skin, but thank God that horrible itching that never stopped has gone away. I'd scratch until I was bleeding. I think the worst test ever possible was a biopsy in my perinum (sp?), well between my vagina and my rectum. Talk about scream! I think I scared the doc half to death. There are some meds a doc can give you, most didn't really help mine. I got some A & D ointment, its made for babies diaper rash, don't get the white (what is it zinc?) kind. I still use it, its also great for when you've had "the runs" for so long that your butt is raw.
