Guest guest
Adam, I use and recommend the ML 830 by Microlight. Amongst others, Colwell of Ashland and I were involved in FDA clinical trials on carpal tunnel which eventually resulted in FDA approval for this and other lasers in the treatment of carpal tunnel, and muscle and joint pain. I saw the plug in the wall model on eBay this week for $2800. The battery model should be had for around $4500 ( I paid $9000 for my original one 10 years ago and it is still working.) The nice think about the ML830 besides having very good efficacy in the literature at this wavelength, is that it is simple- on or off, no bells or whistles. Erchonia makes a much more expensive and complicated version that is endorsed by Dan , perhaps somebody on this list has one of those and can comment. My wife liked the ML 830 so much she bought one for home use on anything that hurts or wheezes( she has chronic asthma which is an off label usage that she swears by). If you are in PDX, feel free to come by and take a look. I paid for my unit in a year with cash patients only, before FDA approval and some insurance payments R Johansen D.C.,DABCOChiropractic Life Center12762 SE Stark StreetPortland Oregon 97233Voice 5032557746,Fax 5032550818-- Adam Derr <docderrdc@...> wrote: Hey there, I am looking for a cold laser unit. Guest guest
Hi Has anyone tried cold laser treatments? I've been feeling crappy all winter, injured my shoulder falling off my horse and then shoveling snow, I had trouble sleeping kept waking up because of the pain. I finally saw my dr I wanted to know if my RA was flaring up and he ran some tests and suggested PT and accupuncture. Then I saw a nurse practitioner for a pap smear and she suggested I try cold laser. I had all ready had some PT, but it is so slow, also had a couple accupunctue treatments. Then I had a cold laser treatment, first it's like voodoo, they just run this thing over you you feel nothing, it does have to be a certain kind of cold laser. Anyway after one treatment I slept thru the night without waking up and needing pain pills. It got alittl sorer then Sunday I had another horse related accident and today I had my second treatment and it makes such a difference. No idea how this can work, but I'm going to have some more treaments. Has anyone else had any experiences with it, now I'm thinking I wasn't flaring i was just stove up from natural causes, which is a good thing. Not hurting is wonderful. Guest guest
, I have been going to pt three times a week and now to their gym and once a week I have the cold laser treatment. First I didn't think it worked but after the second treatment, yes it works. Go for it if it helps you.
