Hey, thanks for the reply! Have you gotten any supplies yet? I plan

on ordering from zipnsqueeze tomorrow. I know what you mean about

forever. I actually started this process last February and was told

6 months til surgery. One delay in November and now this. Oh well,

what can you do? I was angry at first now just resigned. Good Luck

with your surgery. What are you having done? And where? ~~

Oh yeah, I've got the supplies!!! I was originally scheduled for

surgery on Dec 12th. So the weekend before, I went out and bought

$250 worth of ensure/yogurt/pudding cups/chicken broth/Mac &

Cheese/etc. I also bought the zip-n-squeeze (the hospital pack I

believe). I had my pre-op on 12/9 and got a call from my doc (not my

surgeon) that there was a problem with my blood work and that he'd

cancelled the surgery (you can read my " saga " if you wish, it's in

posts 53312 and 53525). So, I feel for you and your delays. I

started what was supposed to be a total of about an 18 month process

in February of 2001. Right now, I'm guessing it will be a total of

33 - 36 months by the time I'm done. But I'm convinced it will be

worth it when I'm done!!

I'm having lower advancement, SARPE, and genio. I'm having it done

at Mercy South here in Cincinnati. My surgeon said he'd prefer to do

it over at Bethseda North (where it was originally scheduled in

December), but they were booked solid through the end of the month.

I remember reading about the blood work. I haven't had a drop of

alcohol since Christmas evening. Didn't want to jinkz the tests

You are wayyy ahead of me on preparedness. I made a list earlier

today, does that count? I have a formal party to attend with my

husband Saturday and haven't even looked at dresses yet. I am the

original procrastinator...I am having lower and genio also. Not sure

of the numbers yet. 7-8mm advancement was the estimate. I am at

Shands in Gainesville, Florida.

Sometimes I question the wisdom of going out and buying all

this " stuff " . I now have 2 cases of yogurt sitting in my

refrigerator with a " sell by " date of 12/28/02.

Anyone know what happens to yogurt when it goes bad? It's not like

it can spoil, can it? Heck, it's just spoiled milk anyway right???

I think everything else I bought has a half-life instead of a sell-by

date....
