Yes, they would, and I'm jealous -- I make my own sausages because a

local sausage maker uses sugar in everything except the green onion

sausage. But I haven't found a source for ham!

Be sure to check if he uses a commercial " cure " of any kind.

Sometimes those have added sugar or dextrose in them.
