Guest guest
what about baths in real dead sea salts? getting chlorine filters for bath and shower water? raw shea butter (buy from a trusted dealer, you can get wholesale prices...no fragrance, just raw. Also, high potency manuka honey applied topically (they make ointments, also you can find online)...Flax oil mixed in food helps alot too (and very good for the diet) And...could it be another skin disorder? I did have dermatitis that flares up when I am in a cycle of die off, which is causing me to be even more diligent in the extras (supplements, etc) and to watch out for allergens) Best of luck to you!!! Guest guest
I've tried raw shea butter as well as dead sea salts. Nothing is touching this! Part of the trouble is he is itching all day long. We can't get him to stop. He has patches that are open and bleeding he has itched so much. > > > > > Subject: Can die off make eczema worse? > > To: BTVC-SCD > > Date: Saturday, January 17, 2009, 9:12 PM > > Week 6 on SCD, my 3yo has had eczema for the last 3 weeks. > > It is so > > bad, it's all over his body. Guest guest
Die-off and detoxing generally only last a few days. What foods is your son eating, and what supplements? Might be one of them that is aggravating him. I have eczema and several forms of dermatitis, so I know how awful things can get. I have to very careful with foods, soaps, lotions, even my environment. Depending on the rash, I find cortisone ointment (OTC) works well for several hours. Keeps the itching down, and soothes the skin. I also use Vaseline when my rashes start bleeding and my skin cracks. Hope things are better for him by now. Kim M.
