Guest guest
Why is it that people blame the doctor for everything? Take some responsiblity for your own health and body. Why can we as people not take things into our own hands and bring things up to the doctors? (yes I am guilty of this too sometimes, I just dont complain about it) They cant read minds. Yes I understand that there are doctors that seem to not care, and " miss " everything. It happens. A doctor isnt supposed to tell you how to live your life. Life is a learning process. We need to find out info for ourselves. It is possible that this doctor was unaware of some of the symptoms of diabetes. They dont know EVERYTHING. There isnt enough room in the heads of people to remember everything that was ever told to them. Each person has different symptoms of different things. Some can be tied with one, and not with another. A person cannot expect one person to know what each symptom is from or what causes it. Sometimes something slips through the cracks. Learning on your own is a good thing. It shows that you arent brain dead. I just dont understand why it seems that people blame the doctor for not knowing things, when there is a whole world of info out there. There are lots of people that you can ask. If you dont like your doctor, ask someone else. There are always nurses there, Or you can request a visit with an oncologist, or a diabetic nurse. They specialize in this stuff, my family practice doctor is a DO, He isnt specialy trained to deal with diabetic patients. But he finds the info that I have requested, or told me where to find it. So, what are doctors taught in shool? how to save lives, how to diagnose and treat many diseases and conditions. There are SOOOO many of them out there, that one doctor cant remember them all. So, if your doctor missed something, let them know, so that the next time, or the next person that it happens to, they will be able to help. And again, I do understand that there are some doctors that just dont seem to care. Then there are those that care allot.
