Guest guest
Ellen, I just want to thank you for that inspiring story!!! I'm very impressed with all you've done! I'm also sooooo impressed that your daughter's doctor tries to get all his patients on the SCD! Is he a pediatric GI? Do you think this willingness to use diet is more common in different parts of the county? (We're in the mid-west. It seems we are always the last to catch on to everything!) My son is off all meds, too, but his team of GIs (at one of the top children's hospitals in the country) never asked what we are doing and of course never offered the SCD. They have marveled at his progress, though. I find this very hard to understand (why they would not want to know what we're doing) and even quite sad. I can't help but think how many of their patients could be helped if only...Again, thanks for sharing!

Guest guest
Marla, I just blogged about a Dr. Ece Multu at Rush University Hospital in Chicago. I don't know her, but she's running a study about treating Crohn's with diet and prebiotics. Given the focus of her study, I'm guessing that she would be sympathetic to a patient who is on the SCD. See my post at http://tinyurl.com/cvnv5u Sorry to hear your GI thinks it's in her head. That's not fair. Cheers, Stocker CD 1983 SCD 1/2005 Remission 8/2007 http://eatingSCD.wordpress.com http://youtube.com/eatingSCD > > To a maestro 4 u: > I am also in the MW area. I'm so curious as to what hospital you take your son and what doc. My daughter has a pediatric GI at UofC in Chicago and I'm not happy with him at the moment. In September when I saw him last, he said 's pains in her gut were all in her head. > Just curious as to what hospital and what doc. > Marla > > > > > ________________________________ > > To: BTVC-SCD > Sent: Tuesday, January 27, 2009 8:16:10 AM > Subject: Re: Success Story > > > Ellen, I just want to thank you for that inspiring story!!!
