Guest guest
Hi Eileen, Are you referring to Vitamin D3 in high amounts on the on-set of a cold? From what I understand it is best to take high amounts right on the onset. If catching later- Vitamin C is better- if one can handle bowel tolerance levels. He has been needing to get IV fluids it got so bad and because he can't swallow he isn't eating.. So between sweating from 104 fever a couple of days and now his throat hurting he's lost like 20 lbs. But his doc is taking really good care of him. Hubby never gets a cold. Pretty crazy. Hanging in.. Doing the best that I can. Wish I was superwoman.. Guest guest
Kim H, It has been a crazy Dec/Jan. First it started with a botched B12 shot that rendered my leg useless at times to not really being able to walk (My chiro bless him helped me through it- med free! I also think it is the SCD because without the foundation of the SCD I would not be responding to all of these things that help!) After that I felt ok for a couple of days and then came down with a wicked chest cold. Felt better for a couple of days was elated thinking " part of the healing journey- now it will get better " Than I came down with this CRAZY itching spree which landed me in the ER- " non-specific acute skin allergy " was suspecting maybe it was due to too much IV ozone? Still don't know. Immediately after that we went right into this wicked Flu (which I have not gotten in years and husband never gets sick) the doc said it doesn't look like a " normal " flu. Whatever that means. I better come out of this perpetual nightmare with a new layer of healing and clarity! Interestingly, throughout all of this my gut pretty much stayed in tact (some loose stools and urgency but not too big of a deal comparing to how my gut would " normally " react) It's gotta get better.. Planning on visiting family in Israel in Feb. IV Ozone is helping my other health issues so much that I can consider a visit. Not to complain too much- it's just exhausting and I wish I could borrow energy bars from some Nintendo Game and get a boost. Jodi > > Hey, > I noticed you haven't been around much lately. Whatever that means. Could it be an intense die-off manifesting right after that skin craziness? Has that cleared up yet? Not sure why your husband would be going through die-off, but his symptoms sound like what happened to me when I was having intense die off. Hope you and hubby feel better soon. Guest guest
Hi Mara! > Could it be an intense die-off manifesting right after that skin > craziness? Has that cleared up yet? Thanks for jumping in and giving ideas. Could be die-off. The skin thing has significantly reduced but it is still lingering. I have still have some intense bouts but it isn't nearly as bad and doesn't make me mentally unstable. > Not sure why your husband would be going through > die-off, but his symptoms sound like what happened to > me when I was having intense die off. Well.. This is quite interesting. Hubby has Lyme Disease. He is on ABX and then he is switching to something more alternative. He -never- gets sick. Turns out that " Lymies " never get sick either due to the body constantly being in fighting mode etc. When my husband's symptoms first started it was bad headaches and sinus issues and he got this terrible sinus infection and had the most intense night sweats and chills I have ever seen (I have had chills many times, his were unbelievably violent- this was about 5 years ago) anyway, a couple of months ago he started the antibiotic doxy and he felt a lot better but it turned some teeth brown- so he freaked and we learned that this is a problem with kids and therefor they don't prescribe doxy to kids as the brown doesn't go away. He went to his dentist and the brown came off. His doc thinking the ecology in his mouth had been altered- he is mostly SCD and is very good- He takes BioKult and S Boulardii. Anyway, he went on a different ABX and he didn't feel much better like on the doxy but he came down with this odd night sweat/flu/sinus and throat thing. The throat got so bad that when he would swallow he would grab his head and scream. Thank goodness this has subsided. What a nightmare. This is pretty odd for a flu thing. Question is if all of this was in fact some -horrible- herx reaction?? We will know when we see his Lyme doc and see what he has to say. I myself have been getting sick from every little thing since starting LDN. Which is odd- but maybe it is Hering's??? > Hope you and hubby feel better soon. Thanks so much- he is doing remarkably better today and eating and walking around. We have both been getting nutritional IV's. He gets a couple of bags of saline too. Anyway.. The Beyond Health Vitamin C has really helped me not fall like a fly. Good product for sure. Jodi
