Guest guest
Suisez, Good for you. Life doesn't have to stop just because we have this yucky stuff. We have just to accept it and find out ways to move around in our kind of world. I know its hard to do but after you're tried it just makes sense to do it. Good for you!..Flora
Guest guest
Thanks, I was dreading the day and at the same time wanted to go to the Fair. I came feeling good - it was such a pleasure. Susieq in Calif
Guest guest
Susieq, It is hard to say yes to useing a wheel chair, I felt the same way too until I tried one, they sure help with the fatigue issues. I have a one handed wheel chair that I use when I need it. Have a fantastic day, Sandy Wheel chair Hi Group, I used a wheel chair for the first time last weekend when we went to the State Fair. My husband said he was sorry I had to use the chair (because that indicates I am getting worse). But I told him I didn't HAVE to use it, I chose to and what a differnce it made. I actually enjoyed the day instead of being so tired that all I wanted to do was sit down and/orleave. When we looked at the exhibits I could think about them and not how miserable I was. To any of you that have been resisting using one I would say go for it - it made such a difference. Susieq in Calif

Susieq in Calif I remember making the decision to get a Jazzy when we were going to a big theme park and I didn't want to be tired or not being able to keep up...or hold anyone else up. It was great and although I rarely use it, I have to laugh because my husband said it'd be nice if it came with a remote control for him to use so he could keep up with me now. It's either that or I hit him if he's in front of me. :-) , also in Calif
Guest guest
Hi Sue. I also used a wheelchair a couple of years ago when we went to a big state fair. It was great. but i have to say found it a little scary till i got used to it. I felt like i was on a rollercoaster or some other theme park ride as i thought my husband was walking way too fast and we were dodging people left right and center. But i wouldnt hesitate to use it again if we were in a silimar stituation, Maureen in Sydney. PS I got a very sore bottom from using it tho. > Hi Group, > I used a wheel chair for the first time last weekend when we went to > the State Fair.
