This has a tendency to earn me a label of " anxious " or " difficult " rather than " informed " . I have witnessed this as frustrating for some. Also, when a physician cannot readily fix a situation, they go for the worst case scenario, and their option is certainly one of several to consider, but often the suggestion is a drastic one. I hate to bring up the " W " word, but we WOMEN are far too often relegated to this position of " hysterical, " and " nervous, " and " anxious " and particularly where our hearts are concerned, if we are not compliant and dutiful we run head first into the God complex so many cardiologists have. It is a difficult road, especially for women, and I too am a challenging patient. It is my heart and my body, I have the owners' manual and one size does NOT fit all. So, YOU GO GIRL!!!
