Taking vit D - need calcium?

I'm getting the " you're going to give yourself osterporosis by taking

HC " from my wife who is getting it from her mother who is a dietitian

and who doubts everything that I am doing. Aside from the fact that

being on low doses of HC should not pose that risk at all, is there

any reason that most of us don't seem to be on calcium supplements as

much as we are on vitamin D (I'm taking 15000IU/week, 3 days/week).
