Hi ,I don't think fermenting longer will work. It is my understanding that the yogurt has to reach a certain temperature before the bacteria will even do their thing and I think 80*F is too low for them. Do you have a heating pad you can put around it to get the temp up? Or put it in the oven with the light on?Take care,Kim H.husband, , CD 1999, SCD 2002

I think my yogurt maker is getting ready to bite the dust. As far as I

can tell it is not heating up as much as it used to heat. Temperature

only gets to about 80-82 degrees. I just put a batch in when I realized

it did not seem to be hot enough. Here's my question. Will I still be

able to use the yogurt? Will I need to ferment it longer because of the

temperature?
