Cherry angiomas are small pinhead sized (smaller or larger too) bright red

dots or darker red (sometimes more brown if you have had them long) that are

flat or sometimes raised when they get larger. They are basically blood

leaking out of blood vessels and coming up through the skin. I first got

them in 1999 when I got increasingly ill. I had none in 1998 but by 1999 had

hundreds and by 2002 had thousands. Then I seem to stop getting new ones,

until this past year in particular and in the last few months I noticed

hundreds more on my chest, stomach and thighs. I think this is related to

the Vitamin C as adrenal fatigued people need more C too. I do know a lot of

thyroid patients report them. Eventually I will get a lot of mine burned off

(they are really ugly).

Not sure if that is what you have but it kind of sounds like it. Here is a

photo to help you. This photo shows several larger ones and many much smaller

ones too. These are what mine look like. The larger ones have arrows

pointing to them but below that you will see several smaller ones without

arrows and flat. I actually have a lot more of the smaller ones. A doctor

many years ago said they are blood leaking from the vessels and recommended

high doses Vitamin C, bioflavonoids and I think Horse Chestnut.

If that isn't what you have, try uploading a photo if you have a digital

camera or email me one and I will research it for you. I try to take lots of

photos when something new happens to my body because it seems every few

months it is something and I have found it makes my health file better,

especially when I have to deal with disbelieving doctors.

Cheri,

I researched cherry angiomas, but from what I read they appear as

a red mole on the skin. For some reason, I have these red

vein-type-dots appear on top of the skin on my breast tissue. They

look like a freckle that is red in color.

Do you happen to know if these red dots happen to be pre-cherry

angiomas? Does anyone know what my body might be telling me? These

dots appeared in November after I knew I had serious adrenal issues.

I also do not get the runs when taking high amounts of Vit C. I wonder

if my body is using the Vit C or not absorbing it? Or this is pure luck.

Cheri,

A photo health journal is a great idea! I looked at the photos

on that link, and I do see how I could be in the very early stages of

cherry angiomas. I assume this is happening to the breast tissue

first because there are many small capillaries, and breasts are

delicate areas....also makes me question if there is a hormone that

triggers the formation.

As long as I can reverse these small red speckles from my breasts, I

can deal with this.

Also, I have another skin question I have not been able to figure out:

when I started on Nature-Throid a year ago, I was not on any adrenal

support, and 3 months into my treatment, I developed these clear moles

on my chin and eyelid (the corner of the eye, and below the eyebrow).

These " moles " do not go away. When I scrape the skin off, it makes a

scab, and grows back. I have no clue what these are called, what

causes them, and how to make them go away.

I have lots of seborrhea kerotosis mostly on my back (since my 20s). Sounds

like the same thing. They are not precancerous but are unsightly and

uncomfortable. They can be clear or slightly pigmented.
