Guest guest
, I have Polymyositis and used Azithromycin to treat. It worked very well with no side effects. I took 250 mgs 3 days a week for 1 year then tappered to 250 two days a week for the next 6 months then went to 250 once a week for approximately 6 months. I have been off all treatment for the past 7 months and remain in remission. I started regaining strength within a couple of weeks after starting the AP. Azithromycin is the only antibiotic that I tried as I have a very sensitive digestive tract and do not tolerate most Antibiotics well. I had taken the Zith for upper respiratory infections and new that this would not upset my system. I did not herx but it worked well and should this ugly disease rear it ugly head again I will go back to the Zith. Hope that this helps. Guest guest
Angelia, I was placed on Zithromax, 250mgs 3x/week, after I developed a sensitivity to Minocycline, and I went into remission about a year after that. I've been on it ever since without any problems. If you have any specific questions, contact me directly. I'm concerned about using any antibiotic besides mino to treat my RA. Anyone have experience with zithro? Can I get into remission with this? Will I backslide? What if I don't herx with zithro, does that mean its not working? -- Angelia angeliam88@...<mailto:angeliam88@...> Re: rheumatic For Esther - Re: New/Old and Effective RA Treatment PS: Dr.Reiss recognized early that every women may have a different hormone requirement. For this reason the dose should not x mg/day, rather observe your body's reaction and optimize according to symptyms. He tells you for every hormone the symptoms of too low or too high. For example estrogen: Too low, results in night sweats, Anxiety, Depressed, fatigue, weight gain Too high, gives you tender breasts and water retention.
