Hi Everybody,

Well, I took to see Dr. Sinnott in December. They all fell in

love with him, which of course, at four years old, he is adorable. I'm

not biased at all, either. BTW he turned five Feb 20.

The AP went well, except for the port coming out once, and not

wanting another one put in (understated).

But he didn't have a flare at all. He did seem to be tired on about the

third day, but after that he was a wild man.

He has been doing wonderfully since then, but just the last two days he

has been complaining about his right knee, and his thigh. So much,

today he's walking stiff legged. Really slow up and down the stairs.

Really slow walking. I'm worried. About a week ago he complained his

feet hurt, and the back of his right knee.

He is on a maintenance dose of Erythromycin, twice a day, and I haven't

had him on the Methotrexate and Naprosyn since about October.

I have yet to find a doc here in St. Louis willing to administer the AP

to someone as young as him. I've called around, and there are some docs

who do it, just not to a five year old. Go figure. One suggested I put

him on methotrexate. Very bright one there.

I'm wondering if this might just be a herx, or what.

He used to flare, on the old meds, when he would get a cold or some

other virus, and I have just recently got a cold, he's got a bit of a

cough, so I'm wondering if maybe this might just be something like that.

But I don't want his joints to get any permanent damage. I'm so afraid

to do the wrong thing. Or, alternately, not doing the right thing.

Please any and all thoughts, suggestions, and of course prayers.

Love, and God Bless,

Diane
