FYI...I just heard that the new winner of America's Top Model has Aspergers

Syndrome. I think that is really great. I saw a few of the episodes, and the

other girls were making fun of her, and I guess she showed them!!! I didn't

watch most of the last episodes since I started flaring so badly, so this is

only hearsay, but I did hear her talking about what it was like to have it, and

watched the other girls looking down their noses at her, making nasty remarks,

and I was really pulling for her, as were most of the other viewers I think. I

know she made the top two at least. I think she has done a lot, bringing the

syndrome to the attention of America for one, and proving that she can do many

things even with it. Now we need a fibromite to win something like this. Maybe

American Idol or something. Some sort of spokesperson anyway.

Peace and Love

Caroline

Wow , you do have it tough. I don't know how all of you with small

children can possibly cope with all you have on your plates. It is amazing and

you are amazing dealing with all you deal with. Does the physical therapy work

for you? And you can't walk. How do you do it? And particularly with your

husband gone all week. Like I said amazing.

You did such a good job of getting the kids to school by yourself even if one

day was a few minutes late. What an accomplishment!

I am very lucky that I didn't get this dread disease until my children were in

high school and didn't need the constant day to day care. They got themselves up

and on their way.

I especially feel for your having 2 kids with high functioning autism. My son

has Aspergers Syndrome, a form of high functioning autism as I'm sure you know.

During the years he was growing up he needed so much time from me, I don't know

what I would have done if had fibro then.

I had to quit work full time years ago, but I can still walk. I still work part

time from home when I can. I have worked with children with autism and aspergers

for years and with their families and teachers. I do a lot of it by e-mail now,

but have decided that I'm home for good and plan to set up a web site.

If I can help you in any way, please feel free to e-mail me at my private

address. I am willing to help in any way I can.

I still have to be there verbally and emotionally, can't handle physically any

more, for my son and he's 30. He still has social issues and says things he

doesn't understand why he shouldn't. He lives 2 hours from me in Boston and we

talk on the phone, mapping things out about his life, almost every day and

sometimes more than once a day, depending on his anxiety level.

Anyway I surely don't thing you are whining. You had a rough week and a tough

life and this is a good place with good people who are here for you to tell your

troubles to.

Take care and let me know if I can help at all,

Marti
