Guest guest
, more and more colleges are providing on-line courses these days. You can even get student aid to help with the costs. If you have a university nearby you might check with them to see if they offer this. If not, the office might know of accredited colleges that do offer online coursework in your field of intrest. Just thought you might be interested. BTW, I'm NOT talking about those 'schools' that you get Spam from. Peace and Love Caroline Something kind of along the lines of what you said: I've read (i have no clue where... i've read so many articles... i know more about endo than most doctors unfortunately...) that some scientists are researching a possible connection between endometriosis and autoimmune disorders... is endo an autoimmune disorder? does endo cause autoimmune disorders? do certain autoimmune disorders cause endo? stuff like that... i just hope they figure this stuff out soon... i find it extremely suspect that i have FIVE so called " unrelated " chronic disorders (when i say unrelated, i mean that they don't think any of the disorders cause any of the other disorders)... i mean do some of us just hit the genetic lottery? or are these all ACTUALLY connected in some way? I don't know... kinda like you, I guess, i've just been kinda tossing this idea around in my head for awhile. if it wasn't for my physical limitations, the fibro fog, the attendance issues, etc., then i would LOVE to be able to do academic research in this area. i am so incredibly interested in science and all things academic, but i can't spend the money for college classes that i won't be able to " satisfactorily " complete (when i say satisfactorily, i mean to the faculty's standards, such as you can't miss any quizzes or tests (or you get zero's), must be at EVERY class meeting, etc. I simply CANNOT do that... I've tried several times now... i really wish i could, the fact that i can't causes me intense intellectual agony and remorse)... i love learning, but i can't find a cost effective approach to college that allows for my specific needs... Sorry to rant... I haven't quite gotten used to making these kinds of sacrifices and missing out on this portion of my life :-( ____________________________________________________________ ONE-CLICK WEBMAIL ACCESS - Easily monitor & access your email accounts! Guest guest
I've thought about that, but currently at IUPUI (the college i go to now...) i think you can only get a bachelor's in " general studies " and people keep telling me that to a potential employer, that it looks like you just couldn't make up your mind and focus on a certain subject... blah... blah... blah... i need to look at other colleges... and hopefully stay away from loans and high expenses Thanks for the thought... I had only considered IUPUI... i need to look at other schools too, like you said! > > , more and more colleges are providing on-line courses these days.
