Guest guest
> Far as I know, nobody has ever asked a dermatologist and come back > with an answer. > Hey Cammie! I had an appointment with my surgeon yesterday...I'm 19 days post op...had lower and genio...and I had been breaking out really bad on my chin and asked my doctor why. He said " its your diet " and I asked him what he meant and told him that I was only having soups, yogurt, boost, stuff like that. He said the Boost will do it to you everytime. I asked him why and he said " all the calories in it makes you break out " I asked him if I should stop drinking it and he said " no, drink as much as you want, it will help the healing " then he prescribed me some tricycline (sp??) a 30 day supply...I take 1 pill every night. He said that it should clear up within a week. So thats why we break out.....BOOST....who wouldv't thought? Sonya

I didnt have any steriods either. yeah I thought it was pretty wierd that I broke out where I had the surgery done too. Doc said that it wasnt the sugar making me break out but all the extra calories. So I guess my body got rid of the extra calories through my zits?? Guest guest
Well, that's interesting. I didn't use much Boost, nor Ensure, and I didn't get the zits, it's true. (I used mostly yogurt and soups). But I have had recent experience with someone who needed Boost and Ensure exclusively for about two months, and the zits were not a problem. At least so far. Maybe it's just a matter of your metabolism and skin to start out with... Or maybe it's all luck.
