I think most of us get our brand minocin from Canada. Brand name is a lot

cheaper there.

If you get your doc to write brand necessary you will get triax brand. I'm

not sure but I don't think lederle makes any of it anymore.

Harold has a list of the generics that are good. You will need to call the

pharmacy and ask what brand generic they carry. Also if they can order a

specific generic for you. Look on the rheumatic site for harolds list.

Subject: rheumatic Re: Generics vs brand

The brand Minocin appears to be around 1.40 to 2 dollars per pill at

100 mg.

Also, I found out that this product was divested to Triax

Pharmaceuticals, LLC as of Feb. 7, 2006.

Has anyone noticed any difference?

Lots of the articles and studies said that Lederle also made a

generic as well as the brand name. Do they still make it, and if so,

is there a specific way to have the doctor write the script to ensure

that I get only the Lederle generic, or the brand, that no other

generic will do?

Thanks
