weighing in on when to take antibiotic-probiotics

It's a real juggling act! My AP Dr. says 2-3 hours between antibiotic

and calcium and/or probiotic, and remain upright after antibiotic.

I eat Kefir or yogurt on my granola in the a.m., but don't take calcium

supplement because it's not supposed to be taken with high fiber foods

(granola). I take my Prednisone. Digitek and a fish oil cap with

breakfast.. After I eat, I set a timer for 2 hrs. for the antibiotic.

I've been cheating lately and having some coffee and sometimes a

non-calcium food between breakfast and taking my first anti-biotic. I

stopped using milk or cream in coffee because of this.

After I take the anti-biotic I set the timer again for 2 hrs. when I can

have lunch. I take a calcium tablet and heart medications, Warfarin

after lunch

After supper I take another calcium and baby aspirin. Set the timer for

2 hrs. take another antibiotic. If I'm up late, I sometimes drink more

Kefir 2 hrs. after taking the antibiotic. (Kefir has 10 probiotics in it).

When we go out or are traveling, it's a real challenge to keep the right

amount of time between all these meds. I figure if that's what I have

to do to be comfortable and " well, " that's what I'll do.

Good Luck everyone.
