My name is Eller. I have only been in this group for

about a week and you all have answered more questions for me than

anyone has since I got diagnosed with PLS.

I started having symptoms about 4or 5 years ago when I lived in

NC but the doctors there said I was a mystery after they ran all the

test (MRI's,cat scans,EMG's).they it would probably go away.One

Doctor even told me if I quit smoking I would get better.

When we moved to GA I didnt get any better I just kept getting

slowly worse and my wife made me go see a doctor here.He told me I

probably had PLS after I took more test and spent a whole lot more

money,but the neurologist said I was fine.My doctor sent me to the

Emory Clinic in Atlanta which is a MDA Funded Clinic.They have

doctors there that specialize in PLS,MD,and ALS.They went over my

test from NC and GA and told me I have PLS.I was so relieved and

thankful to have a diagnoses that I didnt care what it was at first.

I still am not sorry I have the disease,because I know GOD takes

care of his own.

Sorry to keep rambling on but its something I wanted to get off

my chest.

I live in ville, Ga. not far from Tallahassee, Fla. 35 miles.

Good to hear from you . I think most of us can relate to the frustration

of not knowing what is wrong with us. It took about four years before I finally

got a diagnosis and while I wasn't happy to have an illness that gets

progressively worst it was a relief to finally know what was wrong. Susieq in
