Guest guest
! Congrats! Congrats! Congrats! I'm over here smiling for you as best I can with painful healing jaws. You bring back " good " memories from my first go at this. I had been wired for 10 days and had a difficult time of it (really because of the other ailments I had with my stomach, etc., but I thought my stomach troubles would go away if I could only eat something somewhat solid!). When the surgeon unexpectedly unwired me at Day 10, he and the assistants did an excellent cleaning, but then said to me, " Wanna brush? " I was like, " God YES! " . I must have been brushing in his exam room for 10 minutes ... I never thought I'd enjoy brushing my teeth so much in my whole life! Enjoy those mushies and take care this week. As true surgery buddies, I also have an appointment next Monday for a check up, so I'll be thinking of you and hoping things continue to go well. I'm getting bored with mushies. This morning I thought of going to the store to get a pumpkin pie and just scrape off the crust. That's high-fat and filling. Something different ... Irish! > Hi everyone! > I'm so excited! I had my wires and bands cut loose! I was worried > at first that he wouldn't do it. He said, " I'd sleep better at > night if you were wired for one more week. " Whereas I > replied, " Doc, I'd sleep better at night on a full stomach! " lmao > He finally agreed on the absolute condition that I understood no > chewing whatsoever, and I had to move up my follow up visits so he > could keep a better check on things. If I go back Monday and > anything has moved the least little bit he said he'd wire me back > up. Heh heh I couldn't even wait to eat. I stopped at KFC and > picked up an order of mashed potatoes and mac'n'cheese, and gobbled > it up on the way home. Then when I got home I brushed my > teeth....brushed some more...and finally brushed some more. You get > the idea. lol Well, I don't want to put anyone to sleep with this > story, so I'll cut it short. Check in with you guys later. > > > > > p.s. Thanks for the good vibes and well wishes and Irish!
