AM I a candidate for Gastric Bypass???

Any bmi over 40 qualifies you for gastric bypass.I too didn't " look " like I

weighed 240,but I did and the fact of the matter is its not healthy .I'd say go

for it,then do a tummy tuck.Thats what I did and I feel great.

I have been reading up alot on this surgery and I am going to the

doctor tuesday to get a physical and If you all think I am a

candidate then I will put this idea in his head! I am 5 ft 2 inches

tall, about 220 pds. But I don't look it, the only problem I have

with my body is my tummy from my 4 kids, it hangs to the floor!!! My

husband said I could get a tummy tuck next year, but before then I

want to be my ideal body weight so that the surgery will have great

results!! According to the BMI score I score a 40.2 which is high

risk. And according to the ideal body weight thingamajiggy I am 100

pds. overweight. Does anyone think I could get it??? Also I believe

I contracted a heart condition that runs in my family that the

doctor is going to check for me.

Well complain about anything and everything and get it documented. Joint

pain. Problems sleeping. If you get tired easily. I mean anything. all

of these things can be caused by your weight.
