Guest guest
hi ho CEDAngels! happy sunday to you all. well, after reading some of the latest posts, i wanted to add my opinions. re: breasts, implants, etc...i have small breasts. my ex used to call me flat chested ( & some not-so-nice other names i won't repeat). but after my divorce, i looked in the mirror & i realized i'm not flat chested, i'm small breasted. & that made a huge difference to me. i used to hate my breasts cuz they were small. but the older i get & the more women i talk to who have large ones, i'm glad i have the boobies God gave me. i wouldn't want breast augmentation done cuz i've had to have so many other surgeries on my joints, i'd never wanna suffer if i didn't HAVE to, you know? my boyfriend doesn't complain. as far as chiropractors go, i used to see one before my EDS ( & all the other stuff) diagnosis. but when i returned to him later & he found out all the current health challenges i have, he said it would be best if he didn't see me anymore. i really appreciated his honesty (maybe it was fear on his part, who knows?) cuz he very well could've hurt me. i now see a PT & she is very intuitive w/my body. i'm so blessed to have her. she can put her hands on my neck, shoulders & back & make me feel like a new woman. she manipulates everything back into place. i think if you can find a really good PT, who knows about our problems, then you're better off than w/a chiro. that's just my own personal opinion & what works for me. & fortunately, i have very good medical insurance that pays a huge amt. towards my PT bills! that's all for now. i just came in from sitting in my beach chair on my front lawn for 1/2 hour, reading a book. that felt so luxurious. i don't usually go in the sun much anymore. but it was 5:00 already, so i didn't figure i'd get many UV rays by then. have a wonderful week everyone! oh, for you old-timers, i got an email from jen zanini & she's getting married in november. she's doing well. she's got a pooch she adores, a job she works way too many hrs at & her own house. after they marry, she'll be selling it & move to n.y. where her fiance lives. they wanna start a family soon it sounded like, too. isn't that great news? she said her ankle needs surgery in the worst way but she can't afford the time off work. she is a geriatric statistician (sp) - i'm not sure if that's the proper title for it, but it's something like that anyway. she's one bright girl. i'm so excited she's getting married & she's happy. i met her guy at the philadelphia conference when she was my roommate there. love & anjil hugs () : ) jil
Guest guest
Re: anjil boobies & chiropractic I'm behind in emails sooo... I have smaller breasts too and have the extreme pectus excavatum (breastbone goes in)....I can feel for you Joy since I have trouble finding a bra to fit right AND stay down. I have to wear an underwire bra, even though I don't need it, it helps keep the bra in place...I'm always tugging it down. Another problem I have (even with elasticized straps), the left strap ALWAYS falls off the shoulder, no matter how much I tighten the strap....I chock it up to my weird shape caused by EDS... I know my breasts have migrated south on the chest over the years....ugh! And they are NOT " perky " - never have been and never will ( I also have lots of breast tissue built up on the underside of each breast - probably trying to hold up the rib cage. This makes it difficult for the echocardiograms to be done properly. I had the tissue " checked out " by an MD and he said it's not lumps or cancerous since it's on both sides and pretty long and wide. My mom had undiagnosed EDS and had very ample breasts and so does my sister (non-EDS)... A couple of my cousins who have symptoms of EDS are smaller chested like me....<G> She was very obese (350 lbs at 5' 3 " ) and had an intestinal bypass to lose weight. She got down to 200 -225 lbs and then with the 30 lb water weight loss when she had the CHF ep she got down to 195. But her breasts were still quite large. On the autopsy report it said " large pendulous breasts " which reminded me of the " scooping the breasts into the bra comment " <g> Oh...and my hands are starting to look " old " for a 48 year old. The skin is getting looser on the back of my hands and red across the knuckles...

I have ALWAYS! worn an underwire even though at barely 34A I hardly need it! Underwires are the ONLY ones that stay in place!! (when we went to England in 1999 I bought 2 new bras at Marks & Spencer - they fit perfectly and stay down. Sadly tho, I've nearly worn the poor things out) We're hoping to go back next year and I'll stock up! The CREEPIEST part is that I, too, have very same trouble with the left strap not staying up, even with these good bras that have elasticized straps! The left side is tightened more than the right. My scoliosis curve goes to the right so it doesn't make sense that the left always falls out since the left side is a little higher. WEIRD! Guest guest
My left side also falls more than my right. Are you both right handed? I would suggest a less creepy theory that if you are right handed then you use your right hand more and probably lift and move the right side of your body more, while your left side stays more passive. This would cause the left side to slowly creep down your shoulder. I always wear an underwire too. I am quite 'well endowed'. If I don't wear an underwear, my breast move to the side and get in the way of my arms. I don't mind the wire, it seems more stable. However, in hot weather if I perspire, it rubs the skin just below my breasts and I get a painful rash. Too much information? Guest guest
i have that kind of rib cage as well, i have often refered to them as my 2nd pair of breasts, lol Autumn -- Re: anjil boobies & chiropractic >have small breasts. my ex used to call me flat chested ( & some not-so-nice I am in the very small category. But I realized awhile back that if my breast bone didn't dip in and my ribs didn't flare up at the bottom & my whole rib cage was " normal " like a birdcage rather than a badly dented bird cage, my chest wouldn't appear so small. I have trouble finding bras that fit correctly . They won't stay down and tend to ride up since my ribs stick out so much at the bottom. I went to visit a friend who was in a work release program a few years back. All visitors are patted down before they can go into the visitation room. I was patted down by a woman who demanded, " What do you have under your sweater?! " as she patted my rib area. I said, " my ribs " and she didn't believe me. WHen I showe her that, indeed, it was the bottom of my rib cage poking out she was extremely embarrassed and apologetic. My ribs stick out almost as far as my breasts do. Guest guest
I'm right handed but my left side is much stronger (and bigger - feet and boob <G>) The left side seems to be higher in the shoulder area than the right side...so...why does this happen? <shrugs shoulders and grabs at falling bra strap ) RE: Re: anjil boobies & chiropractic My left side also falls more than my right.
