Guest guest
Congratulation. I'm very jealous to hear this as I was orginally planning the same thing...wire cut today and back to work on 1/13. Now, I have to wait until 1/20 to get wire cut. I eagerly want to get back to work as soon as possible as I have so much stuffs to do. I plan to get back to work 1/21 - one day after. I'm not sure if this is feasible so please tell me if you have any difficulty eating/talking today and tomorrow. This will help me greatly. Thanks. Guest guest
Don't rush it if you don't have to. I did not even know the doc was going to cut them until my visit. It has been almost 24 hours since they were cut off and you definitely feel a little sourness in the jaw, but that is to be expected. My doc told me he wants me to exercise my jaws, opening and closing, moving them side to side this will help with strengthning them plus check to see if I am comfortable with my bite or not. I do a lot of talking with people at work so I must work at those exercises, but if it becomes to difficult my job will just make arrangements for someone else to assist me until my mouth becomes stronger. As for eating it feels a little better being able to spoon food instead of a straw, but you still have to keep a real soft food diet. Even with a spoon you could really gross someone out if you had to eat around others who are not aware of your situation. Forget trying to chew right away. Keep the liquid Tylenol handy also. Overall though it's not that bad, I do not miss the wires. Sonyja > > Hey everybody, > > > > Just like you to know that I had my visit with the Ortho Doc and > he > > cut my wires today.
