57 channels and nothing on

This really has nothing to do with jaw surgery but I just wanted to

whine a bit. I got digital cable the first of the month. The reason

was that I was scheduled to have surgery the middle of December and I

thought I would treat myself to a bunch of great programs during my

recovery period. Well, I was so excited when I got it. Including

all the HBO, Cinemax, and Showtime channels, I've got over 200

channels.

With 200+ channels, you'd think there would be something worth

watching. Unfortunately, there's not. At least what I would

consider good. I think I have 15 shop at home channels, something

like 20 public access channels, 5 spanish language channels (I don't

speak spanish so they aren't much good to me), and there must be 25

or 30 different news channels (all covering the same stories).

On the positive side, I do have 5 high definition channels. They are

INCREDIBLE. Watching those channels are just like looking at a

photograph!! I watched CSI Miami the other night and it was

fantastic. It almost makes it worth the price of the digital cable!
