Gosh , your sister is really having a bad time with all of the autoimmune diseases. I am certain that you will find out much information here. How blessed your sister is to have found support in a family member. God bless!

Debby

[ ] Information

Hi, My name is . My sister was diagnosed with autoimmune Liver Disease today. I have read the information I can find on the internet about autoimmune disease but there isn't much if any information mentioning this in the Liver. So I was wondering if anyone could explain to me what it is all about, long term effects etc. Any information would be appreciated. She has already had cancer of the leg at 17 and then secondary cancer in the lung at 21, she is now 29 and when her liver wasn't working we all thought that the cancer had returned. So some members of the family are relieved that it is this instead. I'm not sure how to feel at the moment and would love more information. Thankyou for your time in reading this email. Kind regards Aston

Thank for your information. Worcester is far away

from California. Are there oriental groceries like

California? If there are oriental groceries, you still

can make kimchee, tempeh and others kind. As I know

in California there are a lot of oriental groceries.

Bye,

Elly

Vona,

You can ask the shop keeper for rice yeast. There are

many brands. There are made from China, Vietnam, and

Indonesia. We have already tried only from China and

Indonesia. The result are different depend on where

it come from. The China's yeast will ferment the

sweet rice into glucose which tasted sweet only, it

will not produce alcohol. The Indonesian yeast will

produce both glucose and alcohol. The vietnamese

yeast I never had tried. The duration of

fermenttation are 3 days, no longer then 3 days,

otherwise it will turn into acetic acid.

For making tempeh, you can ask for tempeh stater. As

far as I know people who are making tempeh, they

imported themself. Sometimes, if you know somebody

will go back, you can ask him/her to bring it for you.

If you have question, I am very pleased to answer it

for you.

Bye,

Just to clarify - I didn't send this and I am just wondering if this is

something the group allows. It seems inappropriate here.

I'm sure everyone has said this, but each child is different. I can

only speak for my own.

Nick started therapy with an SLP (Early intervention) at 26 mos.

He " spoke " without opening his mouth. I added private speech at 29

mos. Both used PROMPT, which I understand is highly recommended for

children that don't know how to use their mouth muscles at all.

(Kaufmann is a great learning ladder, but if you don't know how to

make the sound, how can you really simplify it). He gets 2 1/2 hours

of speech a week between EI/ private.

He now makes almost all age appropriate sounds, and I can say that I

don't think he gets tactile prompts (hands on his face) more than 3-4

times a session. In context - I understand 90%, family/friends 50% if

they're trying. Out of context, I understand 50%, strangers maybe

10%. It's still a huge jump from everyone (even me) understanding

nothing only 10 mos ago. The therapists say when he learns closing

sounds (so baa and bah become baT and baLL), his intelligibility will

greatly improve.

I know each child is different. The fact that she's so young, she has

a much better chance of learning. Even 8 mos ago, I didn't know if my

son would ever speak, and it's just amazing to hear his voice.

For your questions> More therapy will help more. Progress depends on

the child. Mine started a few sounds (during therapy only) within a

month. You can tell a therapist is suitable based on how they work

with the child. As mentioned above, I think PROMPT is great. My SLP

modeled most of the PROMPTs for me so that I could continue to work

with Nick between sessions. Definitely look for " homework " from your

SLP. The more the learning environment is, the better your chances

are of her speaking.

Most importantly, try not to stress about it. I knew in my heart he

was apraxic for months, but when I got the official dx, 3 mos after

therapy started, I barely slept for over a month. It didn't make

sense- after all, with a name I could do more research and find more

solutions. Not to mention it didn't change who he was or how he spoke

one bit, but it kept me up every night. I still remind myself every

day that there are much worse issues out there that my child could've

ended up with. And I also remember that this is a technology filled

world... Polio crippled thousands of people just 50 years ago. And

now it's all but gone. While autism is more prevalent, we're also

finding out more about it every day. Who's to say that in a few more

years, we won't make huge gains in apraxia cures? The way I see it,

the fact that you're here, you're already making a huge step in your

granddaughter's life. You're working towards helping her, and that's

the best gift anyone can give a child.

>

> Hi Everyone, Can anyone (PARENTS OR SLP'S) offer any encouraging

words, I have granddaughter 22mos. who has been diagnoised with

dyspraxia. I know she will need extensive & intense therapy, but what

I don't know are the results. Will she eventually learn to speak

clearly? Will more therapy sessions help or will progress still be

the same as with less? How long before I begin to see progress & how

soon can I tell if the SLP is suitable? What would some of the

lessons involve to begin speech? ETC. ETC. ETC.!!!!!! Thank You

Why are you worried about this?

Here is all the info on Dr. Peng:

http://www.autismpedia.org/wiki/index.php?title=Treatments

Here is a success story:

Results may vary. My son has been taking the custom herbal remedy

from Nov 30 to present (Jan 5). It's not hurting, but the response

has not been the same as with Rei.

Hi Everyone,

I asked once before if anyone could send me some links to evidence that the

Antibiotic Protocol worked so that I could show my rheumatologist. I got heaps

of links sent to me but unfortunately my computer crashed and I lost it all. Is

there any chance that the information could be sent to me again? I'm going to

see him next week to see what my options are as the drug trial I'm currently on

isn't really working. Is there any Australian evidence of AP working?

thanks

If someone else has not already responded, go to www.nih.gov and enter MIRA in

the search window (upper right corner). The third article presents the results

of the 1995 MIRA Trial (Minocin in treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis) showing

that Minocin is effective in treating RA.

All the best,

Diane

Hi

If you visit www.roadback.org there is alot of information there. Try this link

to Clinical Studies, including the MIRA trials.

Also In March 2008 there was an ABC Radio National interview featuring

Wall and his Dr, Schloeffel, on his success with AP. (I have had

personal contact with ). You can access the interview at:

Hi all,

I seem to recall seeing an email saying that Minocin is now an FDA approved

treatment for RA. If I can find that info I'll send it out again. I

printed a copy and took it to my internist and he was pleased to have it.

El,

Minocycline has been approved by the American College of Rheumatology

for the treatment of RA. Please see

http://www.rheumatology.org/publications/guidelines/raguidelines02.pdf

Since this is a long article, simply search for occurrences of " minocycline. "

Hi,

If you find the information please send it to me. I would like to give it to my
