Guest guest
, How wonderful that you're willing to do this! I'm sure you'll be great, though. Congrats! Most TV stations have video clips that you can access on line. Also, they will give you a videotape of the segment if you ask them. We'll get to see you somehow! I'm very proud of you. Guest guest
Thats wonderful news. It seems as much information as there is on RSD available to the general public not alot has been done to find a means to easing the pain. Guest guest
, That's my Birthday! Here's a little trick about how to do the TV interview.... If there is anyone in front of you while you are talking, think of them being in their underwear! It will make you laugh instead of being scared..... My High School Speech Teacher in 10th Grade taught me to think that because I was scared to death to even speak in front of my class. And, it actually did help......because I would start somewhat laughing cause thinking about my class mates in their underwear (of course, ONLY the boys...hehehe) made me laugh! Good luck.....and remember, that day is a lucky day since It's my birthday!!! Tonia -------Original Message------- Just wanted to let you know that the lady that got the newspaper article going has talked to a local TV station that wants to do a story on RSD. I'm not putting an explanation there because it makes me really nervous thinking about it, but feel it's something I'm supposed to do. They will also be interviewing my former pain doctor. I had given the reporter his name, and a little later the doctor's office called and sounded very appreciative that I had thought of him, and had the nurse ask how I was doing, by the way. So I'm assuming he must be willing to do it. Since he lives in the city of the TV station, thought it would be better to mention him instead of mine that's at least an hour away. They are coming over here on July 26, as the plan goes now. I'm supposed to call him the Wed. or Thurs. before then and make the final arrangements of time, etc. The guy sounded really nice and felt that the public definitel! y needed to be aware of RSD. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately!) it's not like the newspaper where I can send you a website so you can see it. Love, N. ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here
Guest guest
> > > So that shows there are doctors that aren't educated and need to be! > Sadly you are right. I've been seeing this dr is boston who I told that the pain dr dianosed me with RSD, he proceeded to press all the wrong areas stating he doubted it but that he " didnt know anything about RSD " . Needless to say I left his office and told the case manager I refused to go back to him. She requested I see him one last time since he wanted to run yet another MRI which I STILL havent scheduled. IF I go back to him its going to be with a fistful of information for him before he lays a hand on me. You would think that any orthopedist dr would be mandated to be educated on RSD and other chronic pain illnesses. Ok I've ranted enough LOL Hugs Donna
