I drink diet soda every day, and quite a bit with no affect on my

blood sugar. I drink mostly diet Pepsi, or store brand diet colas.

Some people find that caffiene makes their BS go up, but it doesn't

seem to affect me. I am trying to switch from cola type beverages,

because of the phosphorous, which apparently drains calcium from

your body (according to the dietician I spoke to)

Current issue of Mens Health magazine says that caffeine is actually

good for diabetics. So I guess it's a personal choice.

I drink lots of it too. Though, depending on my mood. I would watch your

sodium intake from other sources...

Does it say WHY caffeine is good for diabetics? I have been avoiding

it generally for heart problems, but there is no absolute from my

doctor about it, so I would re-consider.
