Re: skin tags

yes, I had skin tags appearing all over the place before I knew I had a

thyroid problem. Since I have been on armour no more have appeared but I am

left with the ones I had originally as I can't get anyone to tie them off.

the simplest way is to get someone to tie them off. Use a piece of ordinary

sewing thread and tie it tight (very tight) around the base of the skin tag.

This cuts off the blood supply and the skin tag will drop of within a few days.

I used this method on my dd's warts when she was younger.

I'd love to get rid of my skin tags but I don't have anyone to do this, you need

two hands to do it and I can't manage to get both hands into the awkward places

where these skin tags are.

I live alone & have no one around here to help me do this. So I hope to find a

good doctor who'll do it for me.

My daughter had hers removed by a NP, the smaller ones were cut off with

scissors, the larger ones were froze off with dry ice. She held my hand

through the process and my fingers were white, lol..

She actually has adrenal disease...not thyroid...but had 8-10 skin tags.

ahhh, there might be a clue there as so many of us here have low adrenal reserve

as well as hypo

I would NOT recommend that anyone tries to cut off their own skin tags - the

damned things can bleed like crazy. Tying them off doesn't hurt at all, you

are cutting off the blood supply and they die naturally.

oooh, sorry I don't know whether there would be scarring or not. It probably

depends on how big it is (in circumference) The skin will be a little lighter

for a while but I think it would fade. But to be honest, I wouldn't risk any

" self treatment " around the face.
