P.S. Felice, I have the sweating problem too. Like you said you can feel the heat without even touchg the skin. Then I get freezing cold. My clothes get so saturated that you could almost wring them out. Do you take Neurontin? I don't dnow if this is what it is but it seems that if I take my Neurontin even a little late it triggers the sweating. It's probably just a coincidence, but I kin't know. Jai Ladies, I have had a total hysterectomy and they took me off hormones when the accident happened. When I asked for them back, they said no. BUT they did say that as long as I am on Neurontin then I shouldn't have hot flashes. I KNOW these are not really hot flashes but I was jus wondering if Neurontin helped you guys.

,

That is one Off-Label use that I have never heard of.

Anti-seizure meds are for Seizures, and will help with muscle spasms. The only other thing that one Anti-seizure med, Topamax, is being tested for, is weight loss. And, even that doesn't help everyone, because I was on it for a year, and never lost any weight, only gained.

I would ask your doctor for the PROOF that Neurontin helps with Horomones and Menopause.

Then, after I'd seen the proof, I'd believe it.....otherwise, if there isn't any, tell them to put you back on something...

Tonia, I am not on Neurontin for hormone therapy, I am on it for nerve pain. That's off label use too. But I tell you, I had a lot of pain last night and realized I forgot the Neurontin and went down stairs to get it. I would go nuts without it. The NOT having hot flashes is said to be side effect. And for me I don't have them. And I have no ovaries, uterus, anything. No HRT either. So I can't complain.
