Janie,

I have a lot of weight to lose too. What does sinus problems have to do with

excess weight?

I've never had a thyroid problem (that I know of), but you sound a

bit like I was in the beginning. Basically I needed to lose a lot of

weight and have done that all this year. I just wanted to say to you

that if weight has been any problem that in balancing your blood

sugar you will probably find it easier to lose. It just happens.

For me, when I lost about 1/3 of my excess weight, it felt like

PARADISE! I have now lost a little more than half. My diabetes,

blood pressure, sinuses, heart arrythmias have come under control,

not to mention how great I can get around and feel!.

I'm 5' 5 " and would like to weigh 140. I'd been 147 for a long time but

recently gained 4 pounds which I'm working to take back off. I used to

weigh 118 in my younger years but really think I'd look haggared now if

I got much below 140.
