I know Barb said they work good and nothing else seems to help Fred, so I'll try one more thing. Got to fine something that works. Guest guest
Carol, Charlotte has great success with Colace (a stool softener) - Note - the generic name is docsolate sodium (some brands seem to call it ducsolate sodium) AND is MUCH cheaper - works as well. We are currently running about 1 tablespoon of the liquid for 2 days and off a day. Our doctor recommened it to avoid ememas. Guest guest
Bill, Rob uses a generic stool softener also, which is the equilalent of Surfak, I think it is ducsolate calcium. Unfortunately, that alone is not enough for him - the MiraLax really does the trick though. Carol & Rob > > > I think suppositories are easy to transport but they are only a > > temp fix. Guest guest
Dear Carol: Ken too took Miralax and Surfac regularly, but sometimes they were just not enough. Then we would try the suppository, and if that didn't work, we would give him a Fleet enema. Of course, it was only four days before he died that we discovered that a huge bean burrito worked the best of all. Too bad we didn't figure that out earlier; ken would have loved to have one of those every night. Love, Barbara
Guest guest
Barbara , Isn't a huge bean burrito rather an explosive method of constipation control )? Did it come from Taco Bell? Take care, Bill and Charlotte kmcrae@... wrote: Dear Carol: Ken too took Miralax and Surfac regularly, but sometimes they were just not enough.
