Guest guest
Kenny I've heard that every injection is different so perhaps the 3rd one will have a good effect on you. Sometimes they have an adverse reaction and sometimes they have positive effects and still other times no effect whatsoever. I am also waiting for my 3rd one (stellate ganglion injection) but w/c is dragging their feet. So, if your willing to take the chance, go for it. Guest guest
Donna makes an excellent point. For some reason or another, not only is the effectiveness of nerve blocks different from person to person, but it is also different from injection to injection. The way an LSB works, is that the actual pain med goes in first, and it takes a few days for the steroid in the injection to kick in. So, perhaps it wasn't the injection itself you had a problem with, but the steroid when it kicked in which may be something that they can play with the mixture and such of the injection itself. Just a little something to keep in mind to perhaps bring up to the doc whose going to perform the block. Hope things will settle down for you. Guest guest
You know I wondered why the blocks did not always do same thing to rsd. I thought it might be the drugs they used or that put needle in different place. I got some that did great for weeks but then got some that lasted only couple days. Glad you both brought this up it helps me alot since going to my pain doctor this week to see about getting another block. You two take good care. And Donna pray you get okay for your 3rd block this week. Hugs to you both s Momma' JoAnn Re: Re: blocks Donna makes an excellent point.
