I'm here and have been reading the posts but have had a few minor issues to handle on the home front the last week or so. We had company that ended up extended their visit once they arrived here from 4 days to 10 days (no biggie they help out) but 8 in the house gets tight LOL. My best friends husband who has a drinking problem walked out on her and his 2 kids last week and left her with no money, no childcare and no idea when/if he may return so I spent the better part of the holiday weekend with her trying to get her situated and find her some assistance and with all that said and done our local ER called me monday to inform me that my mother who has multiple health issues (cardiac, respiratory, and neurological) was being admitted for a time. Today is Wednesday and we are still not certain what she is having problems with..but she informed me that her checking account was all fouled up and needed me to look it over..fouled up would be the understatement! She has about 150.00 in service charges for bounced checks! Checks written out to Publishers Clearing House and other such crud adding up to about 150.00 last month and even sent a check out to some psychic!!! I told her that she couldnt have her checkbook back once I straightened it out with the bank and that I would give her just so many check for the month and I would pay her bills!! I have to call the bank today and get a balance and see if I can plead I dunno...insanity and get her account squared away. So, so much for a peaceful low stress holiday weekend LOL but anyway..thats where I am and hope to do something relaxing today. Hope all is well with everyone! Have a great day! Its a bit cooler here today along the coast so perhaps I will coerce my child out of hiding and go do something fun! I think it's great that you are helping out your friend and your mother, even when you are in such pain. I hope you are taking a little time for yourself to relax and not get too stressed. I got alot accomplished today and hopefully managed to save my mom a little $ in the process. I'm off to give a call to my friend and see how her day is going, I havent heard from her in a couple days. Its time to check in. Hope your having a good evening Lori and each of you as well!
