,

I can see where some might be offended--they might think you don't

appreciate the food they have since you're bringing something that's

just for YOU...maybe you can bring a side dish or something that's

point friendly to share with EVERYONE and just eat that? and maybe

split a hotdog with DH? That way it won't look like you're isolating

yourself with your own food.

hope this helps,

I personally would not be offended. I am aware that

people have special deits, as I think most people are.

I beleive that people will respect the fact that you

are not expecting the to cater to you.

Anyone who would be offended by that is insecure and needs a good slap! It is not like you are saying their hotdogs taste terrible - in fact, they should know that you would love to have one. but they ought to respect that you are trying to make some changes in how you eat. I vote take them!

:

I'm in the same boat. But I'm not sure that I can offer much help.

I'm at 20 lbs above my " ideal " weight, but my PCP feels that I'm OK

where I am, which is due to the fact that my health is so drastically

improved. That's why--with her approval--I went ahead with my

reconstructive surgery when I did.

So I'm not even sure that I will go on to lose much more weight. I'm

at -138 lbs, and perhaps 7 lbs more might be nice. I'm taking it one

day at a time and only weighing in once a week.

I figure that if I continue with my exercise and good eating habits

my body will find the weight that it wants to be.

I hope someone can offer better advice and some pointers. I'd

appreciate it too.
