Guest guest
Hi folks, I just want to make a note before voting on the poll. Events listed on the calendar do NOT have to generate any e-mail reminders. I just put the Kaiser Fremont Support Group meeting on the calendar and set it so that it will not send a reminder. I can understand folks not wanting to get the extra e-mail - but it seems like it would be nice to be able to go to the web site and check the calendar for support groups and such. Just my 2 cents. Guest guest
I like the email reminders because I still have not been able to sign up with yahoo groups as they have that secret word that a sighted person has to tell you, so I can't access the website for my groups. I can't even vote in this poll! I don't mean to be unpleasant in any way about this, and if you don't want the email reminders that's fine with me, ette sent me that handy listing of the group meetings in this area, all I want anyway. I guess I don't really strongly care one way or the other, given that I have that list, but I am really frustrated that one needs to have vision in order to join yahoo. Guest guest
LaWanda, If you tell us how to access the secret word, I'm sure one of us would be glad to get it and e-mail it to you privately. This is so bizarre - I have never heard of a secret word. Shell (the moderator) may know something about it. It is so odd that you have to provide that! Tell me how to access it and I will get it for you if I can. Laurie W. Guest guest
I’m with Kay – my vote is that everyone should post whatever they want on the calendar, but use the setting Kay mentioned so email is not generated. That way everyone can just check the calendar themselves as needed. - Lesa - Re: New poll for gastric-bypass-support-kaiser-patients Hi folks, I just want to make a note before voting on the poll. Guest guest
You know, I think this is an excellent compromise! Let's have the calendar, but it would be nice if we can all agree not to generate email reminders. Great idea, folks! Gemello -153 lbs / at goal > > > > > > > Enter your vote today!
