Please Leonie, don't take the stuff the rheumy gives you. the AP is fine, it

will take some time to get well, but don't throw in the towel yet. tell the

rheumy you are on antibiotics for some infection and you can't get off it, it

works for me.

be careful, take care, stay well.

Hi all, since my old doc is useless and wouldn't help me with my

knee pain, i saw a different doc who got me in to see the rheumo on

Thursday week, after i told her my knee is killing me and i can

hardly walk any more. I asked to see an orthopaedic surgeon, but the

doc said i have to see the rheumo first for evaluation, and besides

would have to wait months to see any specialist (i don't have private

insurance). I guess the doc thinks oh yeah, she's got RA and that's

the cause of the pain, so won't investigate anything further. I'm

assuming because i get sharp pains in my righ knee only, and i can't

put pressure on it sometimes, there's some sort of injury or damage

that may be either caused by RA or a separate thing like menical tear

(my left knee isn't good either). It seems one has to know all the

right questions and right things to say to a doc. I thought they

went to school for 50 years to learn all this stuff!!?? Well now i'm

headed for the dreaded rheumo who bears a strange resemblance to

Lurch off the Adam's family :/ That's after many years of avoidance

and neglect of my condition as the doc so cearly stated on my

referral. I guess they'll want to shove me on methotrexate. I'll have

to do a bit of ducking and weaving as i want to stay on AP for a few

months before going onto anything stronger. Guess i can get a

prescription but i don't have to take the stuff. I hope my joints

don't detiorate whilst on AP or i'll be crippled. The jury seems to

be out on whether AP in an anti-inflamm or a DMARD. Life is a

lottery.

best,

Leonie

Hello Leonie,

I saw several times your messages of the rheumatic forum .

The kneepain I HAD was not rheumatic....the spleen can be the cause of the

kneepain,also the kidney.

I go to the Biophotonic ..Light therapy... they found the cause.(Healing without

medicine.)

I am living in the Netherlands.

http://www.health-angel.net/default.asp?taal=2 & GID=1

http://healingtools.tripod.com/BLT_pages.html .......... difficult to find a

website in English.

biophoton lighttherapy thats the word for it.

www.curaluz.nl .....here I am in therapy.........wonderfull... I walk better and

no pain any longer in my knees.(DUTCH website)

Maybe you'll find a website. in your neighbourhood , let me know.

Greetings ,

be blessed,

Trudy........ 68 of age.

I hope you don't have to wait too long to get the orthopaedic evaluation

on that knee. I would think you would get that before the rhumo.

Because if you have a tear, I don't see how AP or a DMARD would help it.

That's too funny about Lurch. I've be nervous if he ever says 'You

rang?' (ha) And high-tail out of there if any of the other staff

resembles Uncle Fester or Cousin Itt. I swear that one of my doctors is

is a twin of Barney Fife from The Andy Griffith show. Looks a lot like

him, & has similar goofy mannerisms. He's always pushing drugs on me &

keeps saying that " there's no down side " to taking them. I'm always

incredulous when he says that, & struggle to not show it.
