Theresa *Nothing Tastes As Good As Thinness Feels* -- Re: Snickerdoodles Snickerdoodles 1 cup of shortening 1 1/2 c white sugar (sub. SugarLike) 2 eggs 2 3/4 cup of flour 1 tsp baking soda 2 tsp cream of tartar 1/2 tsp salt 2 tbsp white sugar( sub SugarLike) 3 tsp ground cinnamon 1. Preheat oven 375 degrees F 2. In medium bowl: cream shortening and 1 1/2 cups of sugar. 3. Sift flour, baking soda, cream of tartar & salt together 4 Stir dry mix into creamed mixture until well blended. 5 In separate bowl mix 2 Tbsp sugar and 3 tsp of cinnamon. 6 Roll dough into size of walnut, then roll into cinnamon-sugar mix. 7. Place on cookie sheet ( does not have to be greased) 2 inches apart 8. Bake 8 -10 mins . Edges should be slightly brown. Removes and let cool. Makes 36 Recipe was provided by: allrecipes.com I like mine a little more cinnamon so i added another tsp of it to make it 3- its to your taste.
